Woman Accused Of Chasing 12-Year-Old With Knife

DENVER (CBS4)- A Denver woman has been charged with chasing a 12-year-old boy with a knife while yelling racial slurs.

The Denver District Attorney has charged Amanda Saad Al-Faris with harassment- ethnic intimidation and felony menacing.

Prosecutors say on Oct. 23, Al-Faris, 27, confronted the victim as he got off the school bus at his apartment complex and then chased him with a knife while yelling racial slurs. The boy was able to get help from a neighbor who called police.

Al-Faris remains in custody on $50,000 bond. She is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court on Nov. 6 to be formally advised of the charges.
