The U.S. Forest Service says the Kaufman Fire actually burned in Chaffee County, very close to the Park County line.

Officials updated the situation at around 4:30 p.m. saying most county resources have been released, and firefighters have contained the fire.

As of Saturday afternoon, nearly eight acres have burned. At one point, homes northeast of the fire were threatened.

The cause of the fire appears to be human-related, but exact details have not been released.
