Watch Out For Weekend Traffic Closures

DENVER (CBS4) - Crews will be taking advantage of the favorable weather and a Broncos road game to get some roadwork done this weekend, which will cause several major ramp and lane closures.

Eastbound C-470 Ramp to Southbound I-25

Paving work will close the ramp from eastbound C-470 to southbound Interstate 25 starting Friday, December 4^th at 10 p.m. until Monday, December 7^th at 5:30 a.m.

The posted alternate takes you northbound on I-25 to Dry Creek before turning you around. I might suggest exiting at Quebec or Yosemite and accessing I-25 farther south.

Overnight Closures U.S. 6

Crews will be replacing concrete roadway panels and barriers along U.S. between Knox Court and I-25. This will require the following overnight closures Friday, December 4^th into Saturday, December 5^th:

• Northbound I-25 off-ramps to U.S. 6; 9 p.m. to 7 a.m.
• Westbound U.S. 6 off-ramp to Federal Boulevard; 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
• Eastbound U.S. 6 off-ramp to I-25; 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Lowell Boulevard on-ramp to eastbound U.S. 6; 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
• Various lane closures along eastbound U.S. 6; 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
• Double right lane closures on Federal Boulevard between 5^th and 7^th Avenues; 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Overnight Saturday, December 5^th into Sunday, December 6^th, expect the following closures:

• Southbound I-25 off-ramp to westbound U.S. 6; 9 p.m. to 6 a.m.
• Single left lane closures both directions along U.S. 6; 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
• Double left lane closures both directions of Federal Boulevard between 5^th and 7^th Avenues; 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.

Lane Restrictions, No Tolls U.S. 36

Both directions of U.S. 36 will be realigned into a temporary split-lane configuration to allow crews to complete pavement repairs. During this realignment to no tolls will be charged for use of the Express Lanes.

Starting Friday, December 4^th at 7 p.m. and going until Sunday, December 6^th at 9 a.m. traffic will be shifted out of the center lane and will choose between the right lane or the Express Lane.

Drivers traveling eastbound will encounter the split-lane configuration starting at Interlocken and ending at Wadsworth Parkway. Westbound traffic will enter the split-lane configuration at Federal Boulevard and return to standard alignment at 88^th Street.

Westbound U.S. 34 Ramp to Northbound I-25  

Installation of a new traffic camera is going to close the ramp from westbound U.S. 34 to northbound I-25 starting Sunday, December 6^th at 11 p.m. until Monday, December 7^th at 6 a.m.

During the closure you can take Centerra Parkway north to Crossroads Boulevard to access onto I-25.

Work will continue at the same times Monday night, but will only require one lane to be closed.

Parade of Lights

The annual Parade of Lights will cause several multi-day closures near Civic Center Park in downtown Denver.

Bannock, 13^th and 14^th Avenues will all see intermittent daytime closures both Friday, December 4^th and Saturday, December 5^th.
