Washington State Edges CU Women In 73-68 Comeback

PULLMAN, Wash. (AP) - Lia Galdeira scored 27 points, Mariah Cooks chipped in 15 more and Washington State edged Colorado in a 73-68 comeback win Sunday.

Trailing by eight late in the second half, WSU (13-6, 4-4 Pac-12) edged into its first lead of the game during a 13-0 run that included four straight free throws from Gldeira following a technical foul on Colorado, making it 70-65 with 1:42 left. Lexy Kresl quickly cut the gap back to two with a 3-pointer at the other end but the Cougars hung on, clinching the win from the free throw line down the stretch.

Galdeira finished 12 of 14 from the line and Tia Presley added 14 points for the Cougars, who shot just 26 percent from the floor but had 11 fewer turnovers to win their third straight.

Jamee Swan led Colorado (9-10, 2-6) with 28 points and Kresl finished with 15.
