Volunteers Haul Out 5,000 Pounds Of Trash At Illegal Dumping Site Near Grand Junction
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (CBS4) - Dozens volunteers took to a notorious illegal dumping site east of Grand Junction to restore the iconic landscape.
Among the trash was an abandoned piano that still plays. Most of the volunteers are four-wheeler enthusiasts attending a rally in the area. They say together they picked up 500 pounds of trash in the first 10 minutes.
The volunteers ended up hauling out more than 5,000 pounds total.
