Victim Of Possible Road Rage Attack Remains In Critical Condition

WESTMINSTER, Colo. (CBS4) – A man who police think is a victim of a possible road rage attack in Westminster remains in critical condition.

According to police, at approximately 8:40 a.m. Sunday officers responded to an injured 67-year old male party in the roadway near 104th Avenue and Independence Street.

"He was found outside of his vehicle and was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries," police said in a statement.

Witnesses told police they heard an argument between at least two men and then found the man with injuries to his head and called police.

Police say the man's injuries are not consistent with a car accident.

"Police believe that the man's injuries could be the result of a road rage incident," police said.

Police are looking for a man associated with a white older model pickup truck that was seen leaving the area. Police are also trying to locate a female witness associated with a red car.
