Victim In Hit-And-Run Case Remains In Hospital As Police Ask For Tips

DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver are asking for the public's help in locating a vehicle that hit and critically injured a pedestrian last week.

The crime happened on Jan. 10 at approximately 9:05 p.m. at Federal Boulevard and Florida Avenue. Authorities said the driver drove off quickly down Federal after the collision and didn't stop or contact police.

The victim is a man in his 20s. He remains in the hospital with critical injuries. His name has not been released.

Police said the vehicle involved was a dark colored 2004-2005 Subaru Impreza WRX. On Tuesday they released a crime bulletin with the following images, showing what the vehicle looks like (neither of these cars is the actual vehicle).

Authorities said they think the vehicle is missing the driver's side rear-view mirror and may have front-end body damage.
