Van Of Missing Mother Found With 3 Bodies Inside
LONE TREE, Colo. (CBS4) - Police say the minivan of a Highlands Ranch woman who was reported missing along with her kids has been found in Lone Tree with three people dead inside.
Jennifer Laber, 36, Adam Laber, 3, and Ethan Laber, 5, all went missing. The three were last seen on Tuesday afternoon leaving Bear Canyon Elementary School. A surveillance image showed them leaving the school.
Police haven't determined the identities of the people found dead and haven't said how they died.
The van was found Wednesday morning at a Sports Authority building on the 7800 block of East County Line Road.
Copter4 video showed the minivan in the loading dock area of the building. The area was blocked off with crime tape.
Police found the van after a passerby reported it to police.
"At 7:47 a.m. the Lone Tree Police received a call of an unknown trouble associated with a silver minivan here in the parking lot of 7848 East County Line Road," said Sgt. Tim Beals of the Lone Tree Police Department. "Officer responded to the scene and realized that the van that was here in the parking lot matched the description of the van that was reported associated with three missing people from the Douglas County Sheriff's office."
Police said they don't believe the public is in any danger in relation to this case.
