Vail's Town Council Votes Against Lift Ticket Tax For Parking

VAIL, Colo. (CBS4)- The Vail Town Council has scrapped a plan to raise the lift ticket tax that would have been used to pay for parking.

The council had considered a ballot question for voters in November.

The tax increase would have helped create more parking.

After a public hearing on the idea, the council voted six to one against the ballot measure.

During the meeting, Vail's COO pledged to work better with the city to work on solutions to the parking concerns.
