United Computer Outage Affects Passengers At DIA

DENVER (CBS4) - Operations are slowly getting back to normal after United Airlines passengers nationwide were stranded by a massive computer outage.

United officials confirmed Wednesday morning that the computers were down for about two hours.

Some passengers affected at Denver International Airport were still waiting to get on a flight at midday due to the delays, but United said the system is up and running and flights are starting to get back on schedule.

If your flight was delayed, United will allow you to change it free of charge. If it was delayed two hours or more, you can receive a full refund for your ticket.

This is the company's third major computer outage since March. One person told CBS4 he travels 100,000 miles on United each year and is getting very used to delays.
