Trash Can Fire Stops Amtrak Train Outside Denver

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (AP) — A trash can fire stopped an Amtrak train near Denver on Monday but firefighters say it didn't damage the rest of the train.

The train stopped near the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge about 10 miles northeast of downtown.

Derek Ross of the South Adams County Fire District says one person got off the train and was taken to the hospital but he didn't know if that was because of smoke inhalation related to the fire or another kind of medical problem.
