Classes mostly focus on the digital aspect of photography and the computer applications needed to transform your pictures into the best they can be. If you're particularly interested in wildlife photography, Mike's Camera often sends classes out to zoos so you can try your hand at shooting the zebras, bears, giraffes and birds out in the open! If you're looking for more structured classes, head to University of Colorado Denver, and go for your bachelor of fine arts degree. You'll receive much instruction on the ins and outs of photography from experts in the field. The photography emphasis of the degree will focus on both traditional and contemporary practices. Facilities include four large wet labs, individual color darkrooms, an RA4 color processor, an alternative process darkroom and a fully-outfitted digital lab with large-format Epson printers.

The CPAC is fittingly located in the RiNo Arts District of Denver and "is dedicated to fostering the understanding and appreciation of photography in all forms and concepts through exhibitions, education and community outreach." CPAC members get a discount on classes and workshops, which are offered usually a few times a month. Classes range in topic from iPhone photography to tintypes to printmaking. More eclectic classes include photography for fiber artists, salt prints and encaustic photography.
