Three Accused In Racketeering Operation In Custody
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo (CBS4) – Three women accused in a massive racketeering operation are in custody.
Colorado Springs Police are still looking for 11 other fugitives. All of them are accused of paying people to open bank accounts.
The suspects would deposit stolen checks into the accounts and then withdraw the money before the banks realized they were stolen.
The suspects are accused of defrauding local banks out of $42,000.
