Thornton Police Search For Carjacking Suspects

THORNTON, Colo. (CBS4)- Police in Thornton are looking for two suspects wanted in a carjacking.

It happened at about 7:44 a.m. Friday at the Conoco Gas Station located at 9201 Huron Street.

When officers arrived they discovered an adult male lying in the parking lot with severe head injuries. He was rushed to the hospital in serious condition.

Police believe the victim was forcefully pulled from his vehicle at gunpoint and pistol whipped by one of the suspects.

That's when one suspect entered the victim's vehicle, a 1994 Ford Bronco, described as red with a white stripe down the side.

The suspect then drove the victim's vehicle southbound on Huron Street and then eastbound on 88th Avenue.

The second suspect got into a navy blue Honda Accord and followed the stolen Ford Bronco.

The license plate on the Bronco is unknown at this time.

The suspects are described as Hispanic males, medium height and weight. No further description is available.
