'This Game Is Serious' Says Student Who Witnessed Large Fight At Football Game
AURORA, Colo. (CBS4) - A fight that broke out during a high school football game in Aurora led to an arrest on Friday.
The fight happened at the Hinkley Stadium in a game between Hinkley High and Aurora Central. Police say the fight escalated quickly which prompted a large response.
Police officers went to the stadium on Chambers Road at approximately 9 p.m. to keep things from getting out of hand.
There were also reported incidents off school property.
"It became a food fight really quick, and then it became a fist fight and people were getting escorted out," one student said.
"It's a rivalry game, this game is serious, it gets really serious," another student said.
One juvenile received a summons and another was arrested. They face multiple charges including fighting, resisting arrest and disturbing the peace.
