Teen Charged With Attempted Murder Of 2 Women

DENVER (CBS4) - An 18-year-old man has been charged with the attempted murder of two women in Denver.

Deonte Crews has been charged with two counts of criminal attempt to commit murder in the first-degree and one count of first-degree assault for an incident that happened on July 12.

"The charges allege that Crews fired upon a group of people while they were standing outside a home in the 4400 block of Dillon Street," Lynn Kimbrough with the district attorney's office said in a statement.

A 43-year-old woman was struck in the back by a bullet.

Crews is being held on a $250,000 bond. His next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday.
