Suncor Offers To Pay For Car Washes After Clay-Like Material Shoots Into Air
COMMERCE CITY, Colo. (CBS4)- Suncor said a clay-like material shot into the air from its oil refinery and landed on cars in the area on Wednesday. That material is nonhazardous, according to Suncor.
The refinery said it happened because of an operational problem.
Two nearby schools had to shelter in place when an alarm went off at the plant in Commerce City.
Suncor is paying for people to get their cars washed if they have that dust on their vehicles.
