Southwest CEO: Frontier Is 'Nickel And Diming Customers'
DENVER (Denver Business Journal) - Frontier Airlines' new fees for some customers who don't book through the company's website give competitor Southwest Airlines an opportunity to pick off some of its Denver fliers while Frontier is busy "nickel and diming customers," Southwest Chairman/CEO Gary Kelly said while he was in Denver to give a speech Wednesday.
Rival low-cost carriers Southwest and Frontier are dueling at Denver International Airport, where Dallas-based Southwest is No. 2 in passengers counts behind United Airlines and Denver-based Frontier is close behind at No. 3.
