Sisters Founded Boulder International Film Festival After Film Making Ventures

DENVER (CBS4)- Sisters Robin and Kathy Beeck founded the Boulder International Film Festival after venturing into film making.

The sisters shared their story of how they started the film festival on CBS4 Morning News on Saturday.

"We made some short films back in the 90s, one was about the frozen dead guy in Nederland called 'Grandpa's in the Tuff Shed' so we went to a lot of different festivals and we realized that this would be a perfect venue for a great film festival," said Kathy Beeck.

"We have great filmmakers here this weekend and some of them are local, we have a great film showing on Sunday called 'Under the Gun' takes a look at the gun debate and it's made by, produced by a couple of Boulder filmmakers," said Robin Beeck.

The Boulder International Film Festival continues through Sunday.
