Shooting in Denver leaves two injured

Denver police are investigating a shooting that left two people injured on Thursday night.

Around 8 p.m., the Denver Police Department said it is investigating a shooting in the 2100 block of Stout Street. They say that two people were injured and were taken to a hospital for treatment. They believe the victim's injuries are not life-threatening.

Police said they're working to develop information about the suspect. They have not yet released further details on how the incident unfolded.

The Colorado Coalition for the Homeless says one of its windows was damaged in the shooting and is currently boarded up. They added that there will be no impact on the services they offer and that they have more security at the site.

"We always appreciate community support during these tragic events.  If viewers are inclined to assist with helping to repair the window and supporting staff, they can make a donation to us:  https://www.coloradocoalition.org/reports?form=donatetoday," the organization said.

The shooting remains under investigation. The coalition says it's working with law enforcement on the investigation, but it has little information about the people involved.
