Setback For Space Experiment Designed By Lakewood Students
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4)- Disappointment among some high school students in Lakewood after a setback on their experiment aboard the International Space Station.
In April, students at Warren Tech at Lakewood High School watched their experiment blast off into space.
They designed a hydrofuge to help plants grow in the zero gravity of space.
All was going well and the plants were flourishing until a bearing on the device failed. The plants died.
Despite the mechanical failure, the students believe the concept they created will work.
