San Luis Valley Medical Center Warns Colonoscopy Patients

ALAMOSA, Colo. (CBS4) - Officials at the San Luis Valley Medical Center in Alamosa are contacting 64 patients who had a colonoscopy over the past month.

The hospital wants to check to see if unclean instruments exposed them to hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV.

The risk of contracting the disease is low, and so far 44 patients who have been tested have shown no symptoms.
