Lawmakers Reach Compromise Bill To Keep Rural Hospitals Open
DENVER (CBS4)- State lawmakers have reached a deal on a bill that will save rural hospitals from closing.
The Lincoln Community Hospital located on the Eastern Plains was one of the hospitals on the chopping block.
The bill restores $528 million in funding cuts to hospitals across Colorado. The measure passed the state House on Tuesday.
The bill will need to go through one more recorded vote on Wednesday and then it will head to Gov. John Hickenlooper's desk for his signature.
