P/SL, Rocky Mountain Hospital For Children Name President

DENVER (CBS4) - Maureen Tarrant has been named the new president and CEO of two hospitals: Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center in Denver and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children.

"When I went to the campus to meet with the leadership team, I saw a sign that I had never seen before called, 'Visionaries Drive,' " she told CBS4. "I stand on the shoulders of many visionaries who came before me." P/SL opened in 1881.

She said the legacy of the institution she's taking over is that it does the most complex care of any hospital in HealthONE, which is the larger Denver health care network.

She's currently the CEO of Skyridge Medical Center. She'll begin her new post Aug. 4.
