Police Apprehend Woman After Chase On I-25 In Douglas County

LONE TREE, Colo. (CBS4) - A police chase in Douglas County caused major traffic delays Saturday night.

The incident began at approximately 6 p.m. when authorities received a complaint about a female driving erratically on Interstate 25. Officers attempted a traffic stop at mile marker 182 in Castle Rock but the driver fled, driving north at a high rate of speed.

The driver hit two patrol cars in Lone Tree and then exited the highway, turned around and began driving south on I-25.

Officers were finally able to stop the car by boxing it in near Founders Parkway.

The accident caused major traffic delays on southbound I-25 for about two hours.

The woman's name hasn't been released.
