Person Of Interest Now Called Murder Suspect After 23-Year-Old's Death

ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Authorities in Adams County have issued a warrant for first degree murder for the 25-year-old man who police initially described as a person of interest in the weekend homicide of a woman in Adams County.

Officials suspect Miguel Angel Gonzales shot and killed Yajaira Zamarippa, 23, and left her dead in a vehicle. Authorities released Zamarippa's identity on Tuesday afternoon.

Gonzales was described as being 6 feet tall, weighing 215 pounds and having black hair and brown eyes. He also has numerous tattoos on his arms. The Adams County Sheriff's office said he is probably driving a maroon 1994 Mercury sedan with oversized wheels and the Colorado license plate 005WTZ.

Police so far haven't stated what the relationship might have been between the suspect and the victim. They also haven't said where she lived.
