3 In Custody After Shots Fired In Northeast Denver
DENVER (CBS4) - Police in Denver took three people into custody after shots were fired Saturday afternoon in northeast Denver.
According to police, officers responded after shots were fired in the area of 33rd Avenue and Dahlia Street in Park Hill just after 2:30 p.m.
Police had to deal with several scenes. They were originally called to an apartment complex near Dahlia and Thrill Place. A neighbor told CBS4's Jeff Todd they heard one shot followed by a rapid succession of shots.
Police responded and chased a gold Honda Accord to the west. They caught up to the car and one suspect around 33rd and Madison Street. One person was taken into custody while other suspects ran. A block away two more men were spotted.
All three were taken into custody but police wouldn't say if they're facing any charges.
Two guns were also found.
Investigators spent most of the afternoon talking with people and surveying the bullet holes in the building.
Nobody was injured.
No names have been released.
