Firefighters Battle 30-Foot High Flames Shooting From Oil Rig In Weld County
WELD COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4)- Firefighters battled an intense oil rig fire in Weld County on Monday night. The flames reached 30 feet high at one point.
The oil rig is located off Weld County Roads 35 and 38 near Platteville.
The fire started just before 9 p.m. Monday. Crews used 600 gallons of foam to try to extinguish the fire.
No one was hurt. All onsite workers evacuated safely.
What started the fire is being investigated.
