New Denver Hotel Will Share 2 Hilton Brands
DENVER (Denver Business Journal/CBS4) - Stonebridge Cos. is overseeing construction of Colorado's first dual-brand hotel — a downtown Denver facility that could lead a nationwide trend to squeeze increased operational efficiencies out of high-priced buildings.
Alliance Construction Solutions, contracting for Stonebridge, is turning the former Xcel Energy building at 550 15th St. into a hotel that will house 120 units of a Hampton Inn and Suites on floors two through five, and 182 units of a Homewood Suites on floors six through 12.
"They are both Hilton-branded hotels, and you're seeing this come up a little bit across the country," said Ed Sealover of the Denver Business Journal on CBS4 News. "The idea is that you can save a lot of money by combining some services. They are going to have the same swimming area, the same exercise area and meeting rooms, and they are going to share staff."
