Metro State Senior Mitch McCarron Named 'First Team All-American'
DENVER (CBS4)- It's a big honor for one senior at Metro State University -- Mitch McCarron has been named First Team All-American.
The Division 2 coaches gave the guard the honor on Tuesday and it's no surprise.
The 6-foot-3 player from Australia led the Roadrunners to a 26 and 6 record and the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference regular season this year.
McCarron is only the fourth Metro State player to earn First Team All-American honors from the coaches association.
