First Colorado Climbing Death Of The Summer: Man Dies In 200 Foot Fall

ASPEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A 61-year-old man's body has been recovered after he fell while climbing Maroon Peak outside Aspen. The accident happened on Wednesday and rescue crews recovered the body on Thursday.

The man's fellow climbers say he fell more than 200 feet as he was climbing the standard route on the peak.

Officials said this was the first climbing death in Colorado this summer.
