Man With Chainsaw Arrested After Breaking Into 4 Homes
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (CBS4)- A man with a chainsaw was arrested after he allegedly broke into four homes in Colorado Springs on Tuesday afternoon.
Police said Gerald Kimble went from home to home in the same Colorado Springs neighborhood and took several items along the way, including a chainsaw.
Kimble, 49, then entered the home of 85-year-old Elaine Mitsch, who stood her ground.
"This man was standing there, bare footed with a chainsaw in his hand and a straw hat," said Mitsch. "It was very scary, he kept bouncing that chainsaw on the floor, on end and the thing must have been about three-feet long."
Mitsch said the man kept asking if he was in Kentucky and she repeatedly told him 'no.' He finally left.
Police arrested Kimble after his fourth break-in where a homeowner held him until police arrived.
Police believe Kimble may have been under the influence of drugs.
