Man Killed While Riding Bike Near Larkspur, Driver Arrested

LARKSPUR, Colo. (CBS4) - A man was killed on his bicycle over the weekend after being hit by a car near Larkspur.

A Colorado State Patrol spokesperson said a Jeep hit Michael Joyal, 46, of Monument, on Highway 83 east of Larkspur on Sunday night.

Emergency crews pronounced the rider dead on scene and the highway was shut down for several hours during the investigation.

The Colorado Springs Gazette reported that Sjvorne Chapman, of Peyton, was arrested and faces multiple charges, including driving under the influence.
