Man Critical After Getting Hit By Vehicle While Crossing Aurora Street

AURORA, Colo. (AP) — Police say a pedestrian was critically injured when he was hit by a vehicle while crossing a street in Aurora.

Lt. Jeff Turner says the man, whose name and age have not been released, was hit by a Jeep at about 4:15 a.m. Saturday near Aurora Hills Golf Course in an area with no crosswalks or traffic signals nearby.

The driver is not suspected of speeding or being intoxicated at the time of the accident.

Turner says there is a "high potential" the victim, who is on life support, will not survive.
