Major I-70 Construction Could Slow Down Traffic For Months
DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Department of Transportation is getting ready for a major construction project on Interstate 70 that could slow down traffic for a while.
Crews are working on the two and a half mile stretch of I-70 between Tower Road and Colfax Avenue.
Starting Monday night the left lane of Eastbound I-70 will close and won't reopen for six months.
Traffic lanes will be re-aligned and the speed limit is dropping.
Drivers should be prepared to slow down.
