Lightning Strike Started Black Mountain Fire In Grand County
GRAND COUNTY, Colo. (CBS4) - Fire investigators said on Friday that lightning started the Black Mountain Fire which is burning in Grand County. The flames started on Aug. 29, and weather conditions in the past few days have helped firefighters get 13% containment on the fire.
The fire was listed at 416 acres on Friday. It is in the Routt National Forest approximately 8 miles northeast of Kremmling.
It's burning close to the East Troublesome Fire burn scar.
