The 90s Continue; Isolated Storms Back in the Forecast by Week's End
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - A hot Wednesday: 96 degrees officially at the airport and downtown as well. It was warm, but not the hottest day of the year - we had reading of 97 and 98 degrees back in June. It was above the normal high of 89, but way off the record high of 103 (1973). Lot of sunshine will continue for Thursday with a high not quite as hot - right around 90 degrees.
Friday we'll add a slight chance for a late isolated storm with a high in the lower 90s. We'll start the weekend with another chance for a late isolated storm on Saturday and keep it in the low 90s; Sunday will see our high reach back into the mid 90s under mostly sunny skies. A little break as we start next week: mostly sunny, but not as hot on Monday with a high in the mid 80s.
