Damaging Tornadoes Hit Eastern Plains

By Dave Aguilera

DENVER (CBS4) - Severe storms again pounded parts of Colorado's eastern plains Sunday. Cool , moist air stagnant over the east with an upper level jet stream pushing in moisture from the northwest was just enough to produce tornadoes on Sunday afternoon.

There were three tornadoes from Weld county into Morgan County. With major damage in and around Brush.

In addition to tornadoes some of Sunday's storms dropped golf ball to baseball size hail.

There will be a pattern change coming up by Monday. With warmer and drier air working its way in. That will mean more sunshine and fewer and smaller storms.
