After a Break in the Heat, A Warm-up for the Weekend
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - Denver caught a break from the 90s as a cool front just dipped into northeast Colorado. That kept Denver's high at 88 degrees at the airport and downtown. The cool air did not reach into southeastern Colorado and high temperatures reflected that as readings once again soared to around 100 degrees
in several cities.
A few degrees warmer in Denver tomorrow as we approach 90 degrees, with a greater chance for storms. Some storms could reach severe levels out on the eastern plains. To start the weekend, Saturday will be mostly sunny and hot - a high in the low 90s - and a chance for a late isolated storm. Sunday will simply be fair and hot with a high reaching the mid 90s.
We'll start next week with another break in the heat: chance for isolated storms for both Monday and Tuesday with highs in the mid 80s.
