A Hot Monday, Now Cooler Weather Headed Our Way
By Ed Greene
DENVER (CBS4) - Starting this week with what we have been getting used to in the month of August...except that we hit the "rare" 90 degree mark - that was at the airport, a degree hotter downtown, and still with the scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms.
For Tuesday, we can look for more of the same...not quite as warm as we start to feel the effects of an approaching weak cold front - expect a high in the mid 80s - and also expect those scattered afternoon and evening thunderstorms.
Wednesday is just more of the same, only a few degrees cooler - a high in the upper 70s. Then back in the low to mid 80s for Thursday, Friday and Saturday - all three days with the continuing scattered late-day storms.
