Judge Denies Group's Attempt To Stop I-70 Project
DENVER (CBS4) - An attempt by a group on neighbor's to stop the rebuilding of Interstate 70 has hit a roadblock.
Colorado Department of Transportation is expanding I-70 from Interstate 25 all the way east to Chambers Road.
The group of citizens sued to keep they agency from moving forward last July.
They say the government did not fully consider the environmental impact of the project, but a federal judge disagreed.
The judge denied the group's motion to stop the I-70 expansion.
