Jean Parties: Easy Way To Score Designer Jeans For Cheap
DENVER (CBS4) - You've heard of Tupperware parties, but have you heard of jean parties?
It's a new trend hitting Denver, and consumers say it's a way to get designer jeans for half the cost.
The company is called Vault Denim. Jean parties are offered in private homes.
Danielle Costantino has held dozens of parties and sold close to 1,000 pairs of jeans in the last year. "We've got skinnies, wide legs and everything in between," she says while setting up for an evening jeans party.
The designer jeans all cost less than $92.
A company spokesperson says Vault Denim buys the overstock jeans from trendy designers.
Vault Denim also has some lines of its own. Those jeans often sell for around $40.
Customers also say they like the idea of shopping in a home rather than fighting crowds at the mall.
"It's a little bit easier for somebody that is really busy," said Deanna Saulsbury.
