Islamic Group Wins Lawsuit Over Blocked Mosque Site
ARAPAHOE COUNTY (CBS4) - An Islamic group has won a lawsuit that was blocking them from building a mosque in Arapahoe County.
The South Denver Islamic Center had purchased land in Centennial, but they were stopped by people in the Southfield Park area.
The neighbors claimed that religious use was not allowed for the site.
The members have been praying in a rented hotel conference facility.
Southfield Park has 45 days to appeal the judge's decision.
