Power restored after closure of Interstate 70 at Eisenhower-Johnson Tunnel in Colorado mountains
Interstate 70 was closed at the Eisenhower-Johnson Memorial Tunnel in Colorado's high country for a short time Tuesday after a power outage affected operations.
Officials with the Colorado Department of Transportation said maintenance operations were temporarily disrupted.
The tunnel connects Clear Creek County with Summit County in the mountains. The tunnel is located about 60 miles west of Denver on I-70. It traverses through the Continental Divide at an average elevation of 11,112 feet.
