Home A Total Loss After Fire In Sterling
STERLING, Colo. (CBS4) - An investigation is under way for what caused a house fire in Sterling on Saturday.
Sterling Fire Chief Kurt Vogel said the area of the home located near Highway 14 and Logan County Road 35 didn't have fire hydrants.
"(The) fire advanced into attic, progressed too far, so firefighters pulled out and made a defensive attack," Vogel said in a statement.
Firefighters from Crooke, Merino, Peetz, Hillrose and Fleming departments helped fight the fire.
The home was a total loss. Its value is estimated at around $400,000.
Nobody was injured.
