GoFundMe Account Launched For Denver Officer Hit By Car
DENVER (CBS4) – A fundraising effort has been launched to help a Denver police officer who was struck and run over by a car during protests by East High School students last week.
Denver Police Bike Patrol Officer John Adsit, 35, was seriously injured while assisting with a protest on East Colfax Avenue by the students last Wednesday.
A GoFundMe account in Adsit's name is collecting funds to help his family during recovery.
Surgery scheduled for Friday was postponed so that Adsit could rest.
