Former High School Band Teacher Sentenced As Sex Offender
GOLDEN, Colo. (CBS4) - A former high school band teacher is heading to jail as a registered sex offender.
On Friday a judge sentenced Matthew James Taylor, 39, to two years behind bars and 15 years of intensive sex offender supervision probation.
Taylor was a teacher at D'Evelyn Junior/Senior High School in unincorporated Jefferson County.
Investigators say they found hundreds of video images of female students Taylor had taken on his cellphone. Many of the pictures were taken from under the students' skirts and dresses.
