Former Dispensary Owner Arrested In Marijuana Bust
LAFAYETTE, Colo. (AP) -- A former medical marijuana dispensary owner who told police she wanted to get rid of her inventory is facing charges she tried to sell 10 pounds of marijuana to a police informant.
Authorities say 33-year-old Veronica Carpio was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to distribute marijuana and other charges. She was being held at the Boulder County Jail on $50,000 bond.
According to the Boulder Daily Camera, Carpio told investigators she was selling off the remaining marijuana after her dispensary closed, but she never sold more than a few ounces at a time.
