Flu Hitting Colorado Harder Than Last Year
DENVER (CBS4) - The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment says the number of hospitalizations because of the flu this season so far is in the hundreds.
There have been 448 cases this season, up from 373 this time last year.
Usually the flu hits the very young and elderly hard, but more than half of the cases this season were people aged 25 to 64.
Health experts say the best defense is the flu shot and there is still time to get this season's vaccine.
