Fire That Killed Horses In Lakewood Wasn't Arson
LAKEWOOD, Colo. (CBS4) – Investigators say a fire that killed five horses in Lakewood in late September was not a case of arson.
The fire broke out at approximately 3 a.m. on Sept. 22 at 3rd Avenue and Sheridan Boulevard. It damaged a barn, an insulation company, and to a lesser degree a family's home.
The people in the home were able to escape safely.
While they have ruled out arson, investigators have not determined a cause yet.
